About us

In the wake of World Refugee Day 2020, youth organizations and individuals with various interests and activities regarding “refugees” have come together as “Youth x UNHCR for Refugees”!

In April 2022, the organization's name was changed to “Youth UNHCR,” and in August 2023, to “Youth with Refugees Platform (YRP).” With the philosophy of “empathy, support, and creation,” we try to expand the scope of our activities and the circle of empathy.

We will continue to connect and unite youth from all over Japan to create a better present and future for living with refugees.

Three Principles for Youth
Living with Refugees

共鳴empathy 共歩support 共創creation

empathy We listen to each person's voice and raise our voices together.
support We join hands with refugees and “walk” together in the present.
creation We “create” the better future together with people from diverse                  backgrounds.
