スイスで４年に一度開催される難民に関する国際会議「グローバル難民フォーラム」。
今年は日本が共同議長国を務めます。今回、YRPは世界初の試みとしてユースがリードする「ユースグローバルなんみんフォーラム」を開催します。
難民支援における社会全体の連携を目指し、様々な分野で活躍する難民・ユース団体・
企業・自治体・財団・国際機関・NGO・アカデミア・メディアなどのアクターが集結。

Refugees are often among the most vulnerable in the face of any global issue, especially in a homogeneous society like Japan.
Creating cushioning tools and support services for refugees becomes a vital component for refugee integration and satisfaction.
Drawing from my own experiences in refuge, I understand the unique challenges they face. By collaborating with open minded and wide hearted local youths, we aspire to bring tailored solutions for struggling individuals as well as propagate their causes in the society.
As an environmentalist and a social activist, I dream of joining amazing youths in a journey to build an inclusive society for everyone to thrive.

I’m a PhD student from Syria who arrived in Japan five years ago through a scholarship program. I consider my family's experience of moving from Lebanon to Tokyo as a positive one.
When I was conducting a research on the situation of Syrian students with a refugee background in Japan, I realised that some of them were very satisfied with their lives in Japan, while others were facing huge challenges, especially after graduation.
Unfortunately, nobody was advocating for their rights and very few of them shared their stories in public.
When I was working with EmPATHy as a volunteer, I heard about ATCR in Geneva and decided to join the Japanese delegation as the first refugee representative for two reasons:
- To share the advantages and disadvantages of such programs by telling the stories of Syrians in Japan.
- To learn more about similar "resettlement" programs in other countries and share it with Japanese NGOs and Japanese public.
故郷を追われている難民に関わる問題は、衣食住の生存に関わるもの
教育、就労など自立と尊厳に関わるもの、難民の意義ある社会包摂など
非常に多岐にわたります。日本でも、難民や多様な背景を持つ人々が
コミュニティに根付き社会を支えています。
しかし、彼らを取り巻く環境には問題がたくさんあります。
難民に関わる問題は多岐にわたるため 私たち若者や
難民当事者を含めた 社会全体でのアプローチが必要です。
社会全体が、それぞれの得意分野を生かして難民に関わる社会の問題を
いかに解決するか、考えていきませんか？

I am Magong Andrew Jok, an inspired youth from South Sudan, who is self-driven and willing to learn from my peers.
My main driving force is being selfless in helping my community to see transformation, inspiration and motivation in the society through service delivery especially among the most affected group of people in the Refugee community in Uganda.

I am Sandra Nsimire, a Congolese refugee youth residing in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, kamwenge district in Uganda.
I’m self-motivated and I hold a leadership role in the office of Refugee welfare Council as women’s representative.
I am also a Member of the Refugee Engagement Forum.

Elijah Manishimweさん
I am Elijah Manishimwe, a Rwandan refugee Youth residing in Nakivale Refugee settlement in Uganda.
I am hard working and self-motivated with a positive attitude towards change.
While serving the refugee community, I hold a leadership role under the office of Refugee Welfare Council III as a Youth Representative in the above settlement.
I am able to advocate and lobby for the general welfare of refugees mostly Youth in the settlement.
I also represent youth at the Refugee Engagement Forum, and this has strengthened my advocacy capacity as a young leader while I continue serving my community.
I am Vicky Adokorach, a female youth refugee in Uganda from South Sudan.
I hold the position of chairperson of Refugees Welfare Council III of Bidibidi settlement and I am a Refugee Engagement Forum representative.
I work with Refugees to advocate and bring change in service delivery, self-reliance, peace-building, and unity within the settlement.
